Dearborn Public Schools and Henry Ford College are excited to announce changes coming to the Henry Ford Early Colleges starting with the 2027-28 school year.
The original Henry Ford Early College will be renamed the Henry Ford Early College Health, or HFEC Health for short. The program will continue to offer hands-on exploration in a number of medical careers, as part of a strong partnership with Henry Ford Health System.
A new Henry Ford Early College Liberal Arts will replace the current HFEC-Advanced Manufacturing and HFEC College of Education program. Students accepted to the HFEC Liberal Arts can pursue any associate degree or trade certification offered at Henry Ford College. Students already enrolled in Advanced Manufacturing or the College of Education will be able to continue on their selected career path.
Both Henry Ford Early Colleges will continue to be five-year programs where students can earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree or trade certification at no cost to the student or their family.
