The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality.
Proper accreditation is also important for the acceptance and transfers of college credit, and is a prerequisite for many graduate programs.
henry Ford Early College is located on Henry Ford College’s Main campus located at 5101 Evergreen, Dearborn MI 48128 in the lower level of Bldg A.
High School classes begin at 7:35am – 1:55pm and the high school follows the Dearborn Public School calendar.
Summary of the School Year, by Grade Level
9th & 10th grade students attend classes at the high school Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri.
9th & 10th grade students are bused from HFEC to Henry Ford Health System (HFHS), 1 Ford Place on Wednesday’s beginning the last week in October. (No homework will be given for days missed)
10th grade students must also attend Clinical Intensives (HFHS job shadowing) 2 days each semester in place of their Wednesday at the hospital, HFHS will place students within Wayne County to work with HFHS preceptors (Students must provide their own transportation)
10th grade students will take 2 college courses within the high school and 1 college course on Wednesday’s at HFHS 1 Ford Place.
11th grade students attend high school between the hours of 7:35am – 10:30am, Monday – Friday. Students will choose days and times for their college classes based on what works for their family.
12th Year students will take college classes based on what days and times work for their family.
13th Year students will take college classes based on what days and times work for their family.
Students who reside within the Dearborn Public School District are eligible for DPS Transportation from their home high school. All others must provide their own transportation.
