The Class of 2020

Henry Ford Early College has completed it’s move to Henry Ford College’s main campus summer of 2014 (5101 Evergreen, Dearborn MI  48128)

9th Grade (2015/2016)

9th grade students attend high school (located in Bldg A on HFC Main Campus) from @ 7:35am – 1:55pm, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, with the following schedule.

  • Algebra 1 (or Geometry), Biology, Language Arts, Gym, Allied Health, World Civics, and Physics

On Wednesdays,  Early College students are bused from HFEC to Henry Ford Health System 1 Ford Place (students must adhere to the HFHS dress code, purchase of lab coat and polo required).

10th Grade (2016/2017)

10th grade students attend high school (located in Bldg A on HFC Main Campus) from @ 7:35am – 1:55pm, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, with the following schedule.

  • Geometry, Chemistry, Language Arts, US History, Anatomy & Physiology
  • 1st semester – COLL 101 (College Success, 3 credit hours)
  • 2nd semester – AH 100 (Medical Terminology, 4 credit hours)
    • Wednesday’s ONLY @ 1 Ford Place, 2nd semester – HCS 124 (Basic Health Assessment, 1 credit hour)

On Wednesdays, Early College students are bused from HFEC to Henry Ford Health System 1 Ford Place (students must adhere to the HFHS dress code, purchase of lab coat and polo required). 10th Graders also attend Clinical Intensives (job shadowing) 2 days each semester in place of their Wednesday, HFHS visit, (Students must provide their own transportation), participate in HFCC Health Career Exploration night in February.

College Course Placement

Henry Ford Community College Course Placement is an assessment test designed to identify your skills in math, reading and writing. You and your counselor will review your results when selecting an appropriate course load and proper starting point for your math and English classes.

Research has shown that taking the proper sequence of math and English courses has a very positive carry-over effect on all classes you take from that time forward. Math is a discipline that exercises your thinking and reasoning skills, while English addresses comprehension as well as writing skills.

11th Grade (2017/2018)

11th grade students attend high school (located in Bldg A on HFC Main Campus) Monday through Friday, class begins @ 7:35am.  While each student’s schedule may be different, all students are done with high school classes by 10:30am. Students choose their own days and times for college.

12th Grade (2018/2019)

Only a handful of students have a class at the high school (located in Bldg A on HFC Main Campus)  which will be from 7:30am – 8:30am, with a seminar on Wednesday’s at the same time. Students choose their own days and times for college.

13th grade (2019/2020)

Students attend seminar on Wednesdays on the HFCC Main Campus from 7:30am – 8:30. Students choose their own days and times for college.

Graduation (Class of 2020)

For students receiving a degree from HFC.  Commencement is usually the 1st Saturday in May.

Following suit with previous years, the Early College graduation is the following Thursday.

Students who reside within the Dearborn Public School District are eligible for DPS Transportation. All others must provide their own transportation.
