2017 Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Henry Ford Early College (HFEC)
ONLY 54 students are accepted and transportation is provided ONLY to DPS district students from their home high school (Dearborn High, Edsel Ford, Fordson) to 5101 Evergreen Dearborn MI, 48128.  All others must provided their own transportation.  (School day – 7:35 – 1:55pm)

 

The HFEC high school is specifically for students interested in entering the health care profession.  You may explore your options here:  https://www.hfcc.edu/academics/explore/health-professions-fitness (Application due January – March 1st)

HFEC does not allow as much flexibility to take part in traditional high school experiences as students attending their home high school, but students will have the opportunity to receive a high school diploma and an associates degree from Henry Ford College in 5 years.  (9th graders attending Fall of 2017 will be Class of 2022)

 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
*Applicants MUST be in 8th or 9th grade.
*Applicants MUST reside in Wayne County.
*Applicant family MUST submit a current report card by March 1st. (1st semester/trimester)

You will receive an email within 72 hours of the forms submission with the rest of the application (office reopens, Monday, January 9, 2017)

Please understand, if more students apply than can be accommodated, students must be selected by lottery. Applicants not awarded a spot during the lottery process will be given a number, up to 20 and placed on the waitlist. The remaining students will receive a denial letter.
